Apparently on the internet, you need to be careful even when it’s not April Fools’ Day.
Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant supposedly shared an extensive list on an Instagram story titled, “Reasons why I’m single” in reference to his dating life, or lack thereof, on March 30.

This was shared by a notorious NBA parody account on X called “NBACentel” which is a parody of an X account called “NBACentral” which shares legitimate NBA news.
“1. I’m a massive over thinker
2. I care too deeply
3. Im a be safe type of guy. Message me when u get home. Have a good night type of guy.
4. I have so much energy.
5. I give my all to people who don’t give me half back
6. I would do anything to make someone happy even if it means I get hurt in the process.
7. I need reassurance all the time.
8. I’ll push you away when I feel like the energy isn’t reciprocated.
9. I love old school romance and that’s just not a thing for our generation.”
Many users were duped by this made-up list, and now Durant has fired a shot at those who believed it.
In response to a user who posted “Seek therapy @KDTrey5,” Durant had this to say:
“I won’t call yall that one word, ima just say a lot of yall who believe nba centel is real just lack the mental capacity”
We can confirm that this is actually the real Kevin Durant and not a Kevin Durant parody account.
The “NBACentel” account continues to wreak havoc among the NBA community with “fake news” that is believable enough to be true as on March 31 they seemingly convinced NBA fans that Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green had purchased a diamond chain shaped like testicles for $80,000.
