Kelly Stafford, the wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, has dedicated nearly three years to her podcast, consistently releasing episodes. Although her project appears to be successful now, she mentioned facing challenges in seeing returns on her investment, referring to an incident involving Kevin Connolly, known for his role in Entourage.
In 2021, Kelly Stafford collaborated with her longtime friend, Detroit newscaster Hank Winchester, to launch The Morning After podcast. Through this platform, she has consistently shared insights into her marriage, navigating the challenges and rewards of being married to a prominent figure in the football world.
The show has propelled Kelly Stafford into the spotlight over the past few seasons, providing a platform for her to delve into the emotional impact of witnessing her spouse endure a concussion. Additionally, she sparked some controversy by asserting that Lions fans harassed her and her children during their return to Detroit for last year’s wild card matchup.
Now, Stafford’s podcast is grabbing attention for a different reason, thanks to some direct messages she sent to Barstool personality “Jersey Jerry. ”
Jerry recently disclosed having a mortal enemy in Kevin Connolly, famed for his role as “E” on Entourage, citing the actor’s purported mishandling of a podcast deal that ultimately collapsed.
In 2020, Connolly initiated ActionPark Media, a company focused on podcast creation and distribution.
Stafford disclosed to Jerry that she aligned with the brand during the season when her husband guided the Rams to victory in Super Bowl LVI. However, she claims to have received no compensation despite presumably contributing significantly to revenue through popular merchandise sales, sold-out live shows, and potential advertising revenue generated by the podcast.
It’s essential to acknowledge that we’re only hearing Stafford’s perspective on this matter, and there’s a possibility that she might not have thoroughly examined the terms of her contract before signing, which could have been disadvantageous.
Jerry suggests that Stafford isn’t alone in her experience, hinting at a potentially widespread issue. Stafford’s implication that Connolly deserves legal repercussions adds another layer to the situation.
Kelly also added that her husband Matt “wants to beat his a–,” so Connolly might want to watch out.
