It seems like everyone is now chiming in on the world’s most famous romance.
A well-known and wealthy woman once uttered, “Haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate.” However, Kelly Clarkson is refuting claims that she’s a hater after making some innocent remarks about the NFL’s extensive coverage of the Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce romance.
Clarkson took to Instagram on Saturday in response to reports suggesting she had “criticized” the budding relationship. She clarified that she was merely looking forward to watching football.

“Just a quick public service announcement everybody since this seems to be breaking news,” Clarkson wrote. “Do not fall prey to clickbait, trash reporters twisting the facts again. I did not bash anyone’s romance.”
She went on, saying, “I am all for romance. Yay for romance. Did any of you actually watch what I said on my show? I simply expressed my desire to watch football when I tune in to watch football. It seems like a reasonable request. Alright, carry on, and GO COWBOYS!”
After Saturday Night Live poked fun at the NFL’s coverage of T-n-T, Bowen Yang appeared as a guest on The Kelly Clarkson Show. Clarkson mentioned she found the sketch “hilarious,” but not when it’s actually happening.
“It’s not funny how it’s practically taking over the NFL for those who enjoy watching sports now,” she remarked at the time. “It’s like you’re watching Housewives while trying to watch.”
For the record, even Travis Kelce believes the NFL is “overdoing it,” so Clarkson might have a point. However, there’s no need to involve Housewives in the mix – they’ve had their fair share of attention.
Indeed, what a time to be alive.
