Kay Adams and Shams Charania are discovering just how viral their moment can be.
Shams Charania, The Athletic’s NBA newsbreaker, is famously tethered to his phone, known for spending over 17 hours a day on it to stay ahead of the competition. He even shared a screenshot of his screen time, revealing an average of 19 hours per day during NBA free agency.
The sight of Charania without his phone is akin to taking away his sense of security. He’s visibly stressed when he’s separated from his device. During a recent episode of Up & Adams on Thursday, Kay Adams decided to playfully take away Charania’s phone, and his reaction was priceless.
Watch below:
Charania looked around frantically, as if seeking assistance, and tried to maintain a smile through what might have been the most stressful 10 seconds of his career. Adams was well aware of the impact it had on Charania, as those precious moments are all it takes for rival Woj to break a potential James Harden trade, for example.
