Kanye West has found himself trending after the Super Bowl.
The Chicago rapper found himself embroiled in copyright infringement controversy after allegedly failing to obtain proper clearance to interpolate Donna Summer’s 1977 hit “I Feel Love” for his song featured on his latest album ‘Vultures.’ The estate of Donna Summer called out West for the infringement.
However, West shifted attention with a high-profile commercial for his Yeezy pods during the Super Bowl, reportedly spending a substantial sum on its production. The 30-second commercial, seemingly shot on his phone while in his car and featuring captions, directed viewers to his website for shopping purposes.
Following the airing of the commercial, West took to Instagram to showcase the impressive results. He posted a screenshot revealing nearly 295,000 orders and earnings totaling $19 million from the day.
