Lynette Woodward is still holding on to her record.
Woodward, who was a star women’s basketball player for the Kansas Jayhawks from 1977 to 1981 is claiming that Iowa Hawkeyes star Caitlin Clark did not break her college basketball scoring record.
Clark was credited back in February with breaking the college basketball scoring record when she scored her 3,650th career point to surpass LSU legend Pete Maravich for most points in NCAA basketball history.

However, Woodward played for the Jayhawks when they were playing in the AIAW (Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women) which dissolved in 1983.
During her time with the Jayhawks, Woodward scored 3,649 career points.
Bartstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy had a prompt response to Woodward as he labeled her a “jealous idiot.”
“Hey Lynette I’ll help spread the word. You’re a jealous idiot. Also I don’t think you know what the saying “an elephant in the room” means since nobody even knows you existed. It’s crazy how jealous other women are of Caitlin for making the world care about women’s hoop.”
Clark is currently not too concerned with scoring records or Lynette Woodward as she is currently attempting to lead the Hawkeyes to the National Championship as the take on South Carolina Sunday afternoon.
As of this writing, South Carolina leads 65-55 in the third quarter.
