The Kansas City Chiefs have traded their top cornerback.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that the Chiefs have traded cornerback L’Jarius Sneed to the Titans.
“Trade: Chiefs are finalizing a deal to send franchise CB L’Jarius Sneed to the Titans, per league sources. Chiefs are expected to receive a 2025 3rd-round pick, in addition to a 2024 7th-round pick flop, while Snead will sign a new contract. Trade is pending physical for Sneed.”
This comes after weeks of speculation that Sneed would be traded.
With the trade, the Titans are set to sign Sneed to a long-term contract, with a substantial salary increase anticipated.

Sneed proved to be an essential player for the Chiefs in the previous season, showcasing his abilities with 78 total tackles, 14 pass deflections, and two interceptions. According to NFL Next Gen Stats, he predominantly covered the opposing team’s top wide receiver in over 65 percent of his snaps.
The Titans have clear intentions for Sneed to take on the challenge of slowing down No. 1 wide receivers in the upcoming season.
