Kansas City Chiefs safety Justin Reid praised Taylor Swift, the pop star girlfriend of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, for her kindness when they first met.
Reflecting on a recent episode of the Golf Underground podcast, Reid, who has been teammates with 34-year-old Kelce since 2022, recounted Taylor Swift’s genuine kindness when the team encountered her during a post-game celebration in Kansas City on September 24.
“The first night I met Taylor was actually the same night … that she was publicly in the stadium that everybody knew and that the cameras were all on her,” Reid, 27, shared.
“Travis rents out Prime Social, right downtown, and from Prime Social, he throws out a private party. All the players are invited and everybody at some point or another meets Taylor. And Taylor’s just awesome,” he explained. “She found a way to compliment everybody that she met that night.”
As many fans recall, this was when Swift made her first public appearance cheering on Kelce as the Chiefs easily defeated the Chicago Bears.
Reid has been teammate with Kelce since the 2022 season when he signed a three-year, $31.5 million contract with the Chiefs.
Reid has been a mainstay at the safety position for the Chiefs who he has now won two Super Bowl championships with.
However, one of Reid’s most memorable moments may have been in his first game with the Chiefs when he replaced injured kicker Harrison Butker and went 1-for-2 on extra points.
