Taylor Swift has officially been welcomed into the Chiefs Kingdom, marking a significant addition to the fanbase of the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.
During an event hosted by Athletes in Action in Ohio on Saturday, June 15th, Clark Hunt, the owner and CEO of the Kansas City Chiefs, engaged in a revealing conversation about the pop superstar.
The Grammy-winning artist, known for her extensive influence in the music industry, was a hot topic of discussion, prompting an intriguing question about her association with the Chiefs Kingdom.
Hunt was straightforward in his response.
He enthusiastically confirmed Swift’s inclusion in the fan community. This statement came after Swift, despite being in Liverpool, England for a performance, showed her support for the team by virtually attending her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s ring ceremony.

Although she couldn’t physically join Kelce and other significant others of the team members, she made her presence felt through Chariah Gordon’s Instagram Live video of the event on Thursday, June 13.
Swift’s engagement in the livestream, commenting excitedly with phrases like “JOINING THE PARTY FROM LIVERPOOL” and celebrating the Chiefs’ re-signing of wide receiver Mecole Hardman Jr. with “AND WE GET ANOTHER YEAR OF MECOLE,” certainly solidified her as part of the Chiefs community.
Hunt emphasized Swift’s comments during the livestream, particularly noting her use of the word ‘we’ in her messages, which he interpreted as a clear sign of her allegiance to the Chiefs.
He expressed his delight over her involvement, labeling it as “an amazing storyline” for the NFL’s 2023-2024 season. Further commenting on her relationship with Kelce, Hunt shared his happiness for the couple, remarking, “First of all, we’re so happy for Travis and Taylor — what a great couple.”
He revealed that his own family had been fans of Swift’s music for a long time, adding a personal touch to his endorsement of her as a newfound supporter of the Chiefs.
Wrapping up his response, Hunt humorously sidestepped a question about how many of Swift’s songs he could name, suggesting his daughters Ava and Gracie Hunt would be more knowledgeable about Swift’s discography. On a professional note, although he steered clear of quantifying Swift’s financial impact on the sports organization, he provided an anecdote to highlight her influence. He recounted a visit to NFL headquarters the week following her first attendance at a Chiefs home game, describing how people in the office were noticeably “giddy” about her involvement.
Taylor Swift’s integration into the Chiefs Kingdom exemplifies the intersection of entertainment and sports, illustrating how celebrities can significantly enhance the fan experience and contribute to the team’s broader cultural and economic impact.
