Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid may be making a case for the Kansas City Royals bullpen.
Reid threw out the first pitch at the Royals’ home opener on Thursday to Royals legend George Brett with the Lombardi Trophy in hand.
Reid stood in front of the mound and delivered a strike to Brett who he greeted afterwards.
Unfortunately for KC fans, the Royals fell in their home opener to the Minnesota Twins 4-1.
The Royals had a dismal 56-106 record as they continue to try and regain their World Series form of 2015. They have not made the playoffs in eight years.
Their upcoming schedule includes two more games against the Minnesota Twins before hitting the road to face the Baltimore Orioles in Baltimore.
