During March Madness, the Kansas City Chiefs are throwing their support behind Caitlin Clark, the talented basketball player from the University of Iowa.
The Super Bowl champions took to their Instagram page on April 5 to share a heartwarming throwback photo of Clark, then just 22 years old, clad in a Chiefs-themed outfit.
The caption expressed the team’s encouragement for her, stating, “You cheered for us. Now it’s our turn! All of Chiefs Kingdom is rooting you on tonight, @caitlinclark22 ?.” The accompanying image depicted a young Clark donning a red, yellow, and white Chiefs shirt and matching shorts, her bright smile contrasting against the black-and-white background of unidentified boys making playful faces.

Clark responded to the gesture with gratitude in the comment section, expressing her appreciation with a string of heart-on-fire emojis.
As the NCAA women’s basketball March Madness tournament continued on April 5th with the Final Four, Clark and the Hawkeyes faced the University of Connecticut Huskies at 8:30 p.m. ET, following the earlier match between the NC State Wolfpack and the University of South Carolina Gamecocks at 7 p.m. ET.
Caitlin and her Iowa Hawkeyes won the game and have advanced to the National Championship game. Clark has been making waves throughout her journey, notably becoming the new all-time scoring leader in NCAA Division I basketball among both men and women.
Achieving this milestone on March 3, she surpassed the late Louisiana State University (LSU) basketball icon, “Pistol” Pete Maravich, with a collegiate scoring record of 3,685 points, surpassing Maravich’s previous record of 3,667 points.
Reflecting on her remarkable achievement after the March 3 game, Clark shared her disbelief, stating, “Honestly, if you would have told me that before my college career started, I would’ve laughed in your face and been like, ‘No, you’re insane,'” in an interview with ESPN.
