Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker characterized the actions of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce as “kind of silly.”
During Tucker’s warm-up at his home stadium, several Kansas City players, including Kelce, threw his helmet, and wide receiver Marques Valdez-Scantling kicked a placeholder out of the way.
Tucker recounted the incident, saying, “I saw Patrick there trying to warm up and get some drop backs. He asked me while I was on the ground stretching if I could move my helmet. I happily got up, and I moved my helmet out of the way — at least I thought it was enough out of the way. And then Travis comes over, and he just kicks my stuff and throws my helmet.”

While Tucker initially perceived it as gamesmanship and good-natured fun, he noted that the Chiefs seemed to be taking it a bit more seriously. Tucker emphasized, “That’s just what I’ve done for 12 years, and it’s not like I’m out there trying to be problematic. I’m just trying to get ready for the football game, just like they are.”
Throughout the game, Kelce appeared to be on edge, engaging in verbal exchanges with the opposing defense.
Despite Tucker’s successful 1/1 field goal and 1/1 extra point for the Ravens, the team couldn’t secure a victory as Kansas City clinched yet another Super Bowl berth.
