Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen unveiled a fresh look on Wednesday at training camp held at St. John Fisher University—a mustache prominently adorning his upper lip.
The new facial hair quickly caught attention after the Bills’ official social media account posted a video showing Allen stretching with his helmet off, giving fans a clear view of his new mustache. During a press conference later that day, Allen shed light on the story behind his new appearance.
“It wasn’t really a choice,” Allen admitted about sporting the mustache. “Whatever my center, Connor McGovern, asks me to do, I’m going to try to do. Him and Dave Edwards were going ‘stache only, so they asked me to join them, so I did.”

Keeping his offensive line happy is always a good strategy for a quarterback, and Allen’s willingness to join in on the fun shows his team spirit and camaraderie with his linemen.
Allen is gearing up for a crucial season for both himself and the Bills. With Stefon Diggs now playing for the Houston Texans, Allen will be working with a new group of receivers.
The revamped receiving corps includes veterans Curtis Samuel and Marquez Valdes-Scantling, as well as promising rookie Keon Coleman.
The Bills are set to kick off their preseason schedule on Saturday against the Chicago Bears at Highmark Stadium. Fans will be watching closely to see how Allen and his new-look offense perform as they prepare for the upcoming season.
