The bond between Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen continues to strengthen.
According to a source close to the couple, the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse star and the Buffalo Bills quarterback have developed a “serious relationship,” nearly eight months after they were first spotted together in May.
“They had always planned to spend more time together after his season ended, and things have been going really well,” the source reveals. “They’re both very family-oriented and driven, and they want to protect their relationship and keep it private. They’ve been on the same page with all of that.”
Although Steinfeld and Allen have kept their romance mostly under wraps in recent months, they have been seen out on dates together on multiple occasions. Their first public appearance as a couple was in October when they attended the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres’ season-opener against the New York Rangers. More recently, they were photographed together in Laguna Niguel, California in January, following the Buffalo Bills’ exit from the NFL playoffs.
“Hailee’s in a great place and would love to settle down if it’s with the right guy,” the source via People adds about Steinfeld’s feelings towards their relationship.
The couple’s relationship first caught attention when they were spotted together in May, with a source noting they had been “hanging out for a few weeks” and appeared to be a “cute couple.”
“It’s new, but they are having fun,” the source shared at the time. In June, another source confirmed that Steinfeld and Allen were “still dating and getting to know each other.” Then in October, Steinfeld was seen bonding with Allen’s mother Lavonne in East Aurora, New York, as evidenced by a photo shared on Instagram by the store Leveled Up Buffalo.
Allen briefly addressed their relationship during an appearance on the Pardon My Take podcast in August, expressing his surprise at the attention their romance garnered. He also shared feelings of discomfort about the lack of privacy due to public scrutiny of their relationship.
