Josh Allen is dealing with the life of dating a high profile actress.
Allen faced criticism after he reportedly neglected to open girlfriend Hailee Steinfeld’s car door in Paris. However, the Buffalo Bills quarterback offered an explanation: he ripped his pants.
Allen took to Twitter, stating, “My pants ripped at dinner…Didn’t want cheeks out… I love Paris.”
While viral video footage of the incident didn’t visibly show any rips in Allen’s pants, as they were concealed by a black jacket wrapped around his waist, he made the short walk from their vehicle to what appeared to be their hotel.
Steinfeld and another woman exited the vehicle shortly after Allen, with Steinfeld stopping to take a photo with a fan.

Some questioned Allen’s actions, with one user asking, “Why didn’t he wait for her?” and another suggesting he could have opened the door for Steinfeld.
In the 2023 season, Allen had a mixed performance, finishing with 4,306 yards, 29 touchdowns, 18 interceptions, and a 66.5% completion rate. Despite leading the Bills to the playoffs once again, they were eliminated in the postseason by the eventual Super Bowl-champion Kansas City Chiefs.
Currently enjoying his offseason, Allen’s antics in Paris drew attention amidst his football achievements.
