Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs beefing?
During the Bills’ mandatory minicamp on Tuesday, Stefon Diggs’ absence raised concerns for coach Sean McDermott several months after their season-ending loss to the Bengals in the AFC divisional round.
Following McDermott’s press conference, Bills quarterback Josh Allen also addressed the media and fielded inquiries about Diggs’ status.
Allen acknowledged that there are non-football related issues that the team is pressing through, but also spoke highly of the dynamic duo that he and Diggs had formed since Buffalo acquired Diggs in March 2020.
“I know, internally, we are working on some things, not football-related,” Allen said. “(Stefon) is my guy. I f—ing love him. He’s a brother of mine. This does not work, what we’re doing here, without him.”

Nevertheless, Diggs expressed his frustration after the Bills lost in the playoffs, and Allen suggested that the organization needs to improve communication ahead of the 2023 season.
“There are some things that could’ve gone better last year. I think as an organization maybe we’re not communicating the right way,” Allen said.

With the Bills set to open the season against the Jets on Sept. 11, it remains to be seen whether Diggs will participate.
