It’s been a tough week for Jordan Poyer’s wife Rachel Bush.
The usually outspoken WAG is gearing up for a fresh start following the news of her husband, star safety Jordan Poyer, being released by the Buffalo Bills.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, the model and influencer penned an emotional tribute to Poyer, who spent seven seasons in Buffalo and played a crucial role in the team’s five consecutive playoff appearances.
“I don’t have the words yet but they are coming. (Along with so many photo memories),” Bush wrote in one slide, accompanied by red and blue heart emojis representing Buffalo’s team colors.
She continued, praising Poyer for his impactful contributions both on and off the field: “The impact he made will always be remembered. Both within the football world and outside as well. You [came] into Buffalo and gave the city something they were longing for. Changed the culture. You’re special my love and what you have done is such an accomplishment. A true game changer!!”
Bush shared several photos of Poyer during his time with the Bills, expressing gratitude and excitement for the couple’s next chapter: “My All Pro, in life and on the field! We love you! Here’s to new beginnings! Something we both always welcome with open arms as we love excitement.”
Poyer’s release from the Bills was part of a cap collateral move, which also included several other players. The roster changes, aimed at addressing the team’s cap situation, are expected to save around $36 million.
Throughout his tenure in Buffalo, Poyer left a significant mark on the field, recording impressive statistics and establishing himself as a top talent at his position. Additionally, he actively engaged with the Buffalo community and courageously shared his personal battle with alcoholism in 2021.
Originally drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the seventh round of the 2013 NFL Draft, Poyer also had stints with the Cleveland Browns before joining the Bills.
