Jordan Poole’s Dad is standing up for his son.
Since their incident last preseason, neither Draymond Green nor Jordan Poole have provided much detail about what happened.
While Green has discussed it more than Poole, his focus has primarily been on reflecting on his actions and admitting fault.
However, in a recent podcast clip with Patrick Beverley, Green shared a previously undisclosed truth about the incident involving Poole.
Green stated:
“I don’t just hit people. Dialogue, of course, happens over time, and you usually aren’t triggered that quickly, to that extent. We are a team, and nobody on my team can instantly trigger me. There are things we know not to say among men. There are principles we stand on.”
Green’s comments indicate that his issue with Poole had been building up over time and that Poole may have said something that crossed a line.
These remarks, such as “I don’t just hit people” and “We know stuff that you don’t say amongst men,” imply that there was more to the incident than a simple moment of frustration between teammates.
Jordan Poole’s father responded to Dray’s statement.
“I’m stand on this that’s is some bs. Jp was his guy and he avoid me all last yr. He is a soft as bitch and I’m standing on this and he didn’t apologize to me and my wife. So he lame and me and him can meet anytime he want”

While Green has previously admitted his wrongdoing and how the punch affected the Golden State Warriors’ underwhelming season, this podcast clip provides additional insight into the underlying causes that led the Warriors’ leader to react in such a manner.
