Noteworthy New York Knicks fan Jon Stewart had a viral reaction to Philadelphia Sixers’ star Tyrese Maxey hitting the game-tying shot against the Knicks on Tuesday night.
Stewart posted the following on X:
Respect to Maxey…but damn…I’m clearly getting too old for this shit…
Maxey sent the game to overtime with this shot.
The 76ers went on to win the game in overtime.
With less than 10 seconds remaining on the clock and trailing 97-94, Maxey seized control of the ball, determined to make a play.

Having already scored a game-high 37 points, it was evident that the entire Sixers team had their eyes on Maxey, anticipating his next move.
Rather than attempting to navigate through the Knicks’ defense to inch closer to the three-point line, the Sixers’ standout chose to take a daring shot from the logo—an ultimate test of his shooting prowess.
Surprisingly, Maxey’s gamble paid off as he sank the shot with approximately eight seconds remaining on the clock.
Unfortunately for New York, their final attempt fell short, resulting in the game being pushed into overtime.
The Sixers and the Knicks now head back to Philadelphia for Game 6 with the series at 3-2.
The winner will take on the winner of the Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana Pacers series which is currently at 3-2 as well.
