ESPN’s College GameDay kicked off the college football season with a special appearance by legendary quarterback Johnny Manziel as the celebrity guest picker for Week 1. The popular pregame show set up shop in College Station, Texas, in anticipation of the Texas A&M vs. Notre Dame showdown on Saturday evening. “Man, that was a huge victory for our program over a really, really good football team,” Freeman said after the game. “That is an impressive football team. … It wasn’t pretty. The defense played lights out, [forced] turnovers.”
Despite the loss, the presence of Johnny Manziel and Josie Canseco added an extra layer of excitement to the game day experience in College Station.
