Patience is wearing thin among some Kentucky fans after a recent upset to South Carolina, leading to frustrations directed at head coach John Calipari. One fan took a more personal approach by targeting Calipari’s daughter, Erin, on social media.
In response to her unrelated post, the fan criticized Coach Cal’s performance and threatened his job if the team doesn’t make the Final Four.
“Your father just got blown out by South Carolina,” the fan responded on Tuesday night. “That’s *unacceptable*. I was so excited about a Big Z but now I’m so mad. Tell your father if we don’t make the Final Four this year he’s fired. Go ‘Cats!”

Erin Calipari didn’t take the attack lightly and responded sarcastically, highlighting the absurdity of messaging coaches’ adult children on Twitter.
“Hi Rico. Thanks for the message,” she sarcastically wrote. “Please tell your father that you spend your evenings messaging adult children of basketball coaches on Twitter. I’m sure he will be proud.”
Despite the frustrations, Kentucky remains highly ranked, and Coach Cal continues to lead the team.
In his extensive career as a college head coach, John Calipari’s 1,101 games can be summarized as follows: a 193-71 record (73.1%) over eight seasons at UMass, a 252-69 record (78.5%) across nine seasons at Memphis, and a 400-116 record (77.5%) at Kentucky, where he is currently in his 15th season at the helm.
