Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow appears to be on the mend following his significant wrist injury.
Burrow’s 2023 season concluded prematurely when he suffered a wrist ligament tear in his throwing arm during a Week 11 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, a moment etched vividly in the minds of Bengals’ supporters.
Providing an update on Sunday, Burrow conveyed encouraging news to ESPN’s Ben Baby. He anticipates receiving full clearance well ahead of the upcoming season.

“I think middle of May is when I am expecting to kind of be cleared for full contact and everything,” Burrow told Baby. “Over the next month [to] month and a half, we’ll kind of decide all those things.”
Burrow mentioned that he is currently able to lift weights nearly as he did before the injury. According to his anticipated timeline, he expects to maintain his regular offseason training regimen without constraints.
Last season, Burrow amassed 2,309 passing yards with 15 touchdowns and 6 interceptions across 10 games before his injury sidelined him.
The LSU alum emerged as a top-5 MVP contender in 2022, amassing 4,475 passing yards, 35 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.
