Jimmy Butler is a big fan of Miley Cyrus, to say the least.
Jimmy Butler marches to the beat of his own drum, defying convention and charting his own path.
He deviates from his basketball peers in terms of music, preferring country music. This reflects his humble beginnings in Tomball, Texas, where he also sported cowboy boots as a rookie for the Chicago Bulls.
Despite not conforming to the norm, Butler exudes confidence in being true to himself.
As the leader of the Miami Heat, Butler’s influence sets the palpable tone for the team’s performance. Before games, he listens to a range of musical artists including Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, and Rick Ross.
Even though the Miami Heat’s music preference may not be as eclectic as Butler’s, they highly value his leadership and DJ skills. The undeniably talented Butler averages 30 points per game.
In an ESPN interview, Butler revealed his obsession with Miley Cyrus. During his college basketball days at Marquette, Butler’s room served as the hub where his teammates often gathered for various activities. He entertained them with his diverse music playlist, segueing flawlessly from Lil Wayne’s raps to Tim McGraw’s ballads and Young Jeezy’s high-spirited tracks.
Butler’s love for Miley Cyrus even caught his roommates’ attention and became a running joke among them.
But Butler remained unapologetically himself, enjoying the Hannah Montana TV show and even exhibiting a pink bunny outfit with pride. Butler cares only about his opinion of himself, and that’s what makes him a true leader. As he prepares for game 4 of the NBA finals on June 9 at 8:30 PM, we hope Butler will gain strength from music.
