Jim Harbaugh is eagerly anticipating his transition to Southern California as he assumes the role of head coach for the Los Angeles Chargers, but his excitement stems from a unique plan that might surprise fans.
Rather than immediately settling into a house, the former Michigan coach intends to embark on a road trip, driving his RV to California and setting up camp near the Chargers’ facility for a few months.
During his introductory press conference on Thursday, Harbaugh revealed his unconventional plan, expressing a desire to park his RV in a trailer park either by the water or near Disneyland—two locations he had researched for their proximity to the team’s facility.
“I want to Jim Rockford it for the next couple of months until we move to the new facility. I have that thought going through my head,” Harbaugh shared.

Although he initially debated sharing this idea with reporters, Harbaugh ultimately decided to reveal his unique plan, indicating that he had already discussed it with his wife, Sarah.
As a result, residents in the Los Angeles area may find themselves keeping an eye out for an RV in their vicinity, as it could very well be housing an NFL coach camping out for a while.
