Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines marked their national title with a parade and ceremony in Ann Arbor on Saturday. However, Harbaugh is set to shift his focus to other matters on Monday.
According to multiple reports, Harbaugh is scheduled to meet with the Chargers regarding their head coaching vacancy. Last week, reports surfaced, indicating an imminent meeting as Harbaugh contemplates a potential return to the NFL after guiding his alma mater to a championship.
The Chargers have interviewed several candidates for the coaching position, including Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald, who previously served as the defensive coordinator for Michigan under Harbaugh.
Harbaugh, with a regular-season record of 44-19-1 and a playoff record of 5-3 over four seasons as the head coach of the 49ers, has a successful NFL coaching history. During his tenure with the 49ers, the team reached three consecutive NFC title games and played in Super Bowl XLVII, losing to the Ravens coached by Harbaugh’s brother, John.

While there is reported interest from the Raiders, no meeting has been scheduled between Harbaugh and the Raiders at this time.
Harbaugh’s potential return to the NFL is a recurring theme every offseason, but this time around, it appears more tangible than previous attempts by NFL teams to entice him back to the league.
