The New York Jets have reportedly reached a decision regarding Zach Wilson for the 2024 season.
Initially, the Jets had hoped Wilson would have the opportunity to learn and develop under Aaron Rodgers, eventually taking on the role of the starting quarterback in the future. However, the 2023 season did not unfold as planned. Rodgers suffered an Achilles injury in the first game, Wilson faced challenges and was eventually benched, resulting in the Jets missing out on the playoffs.
Now, it appears that the Jets are ready to part ways with Wilson.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Jets plan to explore trade options for Wilson during the upcoming offseason. This means that the former BYU Cougars quarterback will not be returning to New York for the 2024 season.

The focus now shifts to where Wilson will continue his career.
While other top quarterback draft picks like Baker Mayfield and Ryan Tannehill have found success after changing teams, Wilson’s NFL journey has been less proven. As the Jets wrap up their 2023 season against the Patriots on Sunday, it marks the beginning of a new chapter for Zach Wilson, signaling that his time with the Jets has come to an end.
