On Thursday night, Joe Flacco gained a valuable lesson.
The Cleveland Browns quarterback delivered an impressive performance against his former team during Thursday Night Football, amassing 309 yards and three touchdowns in a convincing 37-20 victory over the New York Jets. Flacco had two separate stints with the Jets in 2020 and 2021, the latter concluding earlier this year, and it was evident that he had formed connections with many players.

Post-game, the 38-year-old engaged in embraces with several of his former teammates, but his interaction with Quinnen Williams took an unexpected turn.
Williams was displeased with Flacco touching his hair, swiftly slapping his arm away and expressing, “Don’t f-g touch my head. What are you doing?”
Flacco’s resurgence in his career at an advanced age has surprised many. With four wins in five games as the Browns’ starting QB since joining the franchise last month, he has thrown for 1,307 yards and 10 touchdowns. His arrival was prompted by starting QB Deshaun Watson’s season-ending injury.
Now, Flacco has steered the Browns toward the postseason for the first time since 2020 and only the second time in 21 seasons.
The incident with Williams serves as a reminder that personal boundaries, especially physical contact, vary among individuals. Joe Flacco is likely to exercise more caution in such situations moving forward.
