USC wide receiver Brenden Rice, the son of legendary NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice, made it very clear on what he thinks should be done with the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Currently, Brenden Rice’s former teammate at USC, quarterback Caleb Williams, is projected to be selected first overall. The Chicago Bears currently own that pick.

However, there have been plenty of questions as to what the Bears will do with the pick as they still currently have Justin Fields as their quarterback and have committed to bringing head coach Matt Eberflus back for another season.
There are also plenty of Caleb Williams doubters including a former New York Jets scout who made it very clear that he would not draft Williams.
However, we can put Rice in the pro-Caleb Williams camp as he had this to say about drafting his former teammate,
“If you pass on Caleb Williams, have fun losing your job.”
Rice had a nice senior season at USC with Williams throwing him the ball as he had 791 yards and 12 touchdowns on 45 catches for the Trojans in 2023.
He will likely follow in his father’s footsteps to the NFL as he is projected to be a Day 2 or Day 3 pick in the upcoming NFL draft.
