Jerry Jones is a weed guy?
The annual training camp in Oxnard, California, continues to be a favored choice for Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.
The favorable temperatures create ideal conditions for productive work, while the team’s strong brand presence in Southern California provides valuable marketing opportunities.
Overall, the atmosphere is highly enjoyable.
In fact, Jerry Jones humorously suggests that the relaxed and cheerful nature of California residents may be influenced by the local air, jokingly referring to the thriving cannabis industry in the region.
But at the same time also implying that he knows first hand how the weed in California is.
“You look around and say no wonder California folks are as laid back as they are and smile as much as they do,” Jones said via KTCK. “Now, it may be something that’s in the air, too. The weed out here has a lot going on.”
Jones, who previously advocated for the NFL to stop penalizing marijuana users in the past, has a personal preference for Johnny Walker Blue. However, as the NFL continues to progress, there are more individuals, including older generation members, who have either smoked or continue to smoke marijuana.
While it doesn’t mean that every NFL owner will start cracking weed jokes, the overall acceptance towards marijuana use seems to be growing.
