Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones often sparks social media buzz with his sometimes controversial statements. On Sunday, however, he became a trending topic without uttering a single word.
Jones was in attendance at the Annual League Meeting hosted at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida, this week. During the event, the Cowboys’ general manager expressed strong support for his team’s quarterback, Dak Prescott, affirming his belief in Prescott’s ability to lead the team to a Super Bowl victory.
Yet, it wasn’t Jones’ predictable front-office remarks about Prescott that caught fans’ attention; rather, it was the contents — or lack thereof — of his notepad, captured in a viral photo accompanying his quote.
Fans on social media platforms had a field day poking fun at Jones’ peculiar note-taking habits.

Examining the numerous scribbles covering the pad, it’s hard to believe Jones was simply testing his pen’s functionality.
According to a post from Yahoo Sports’ Jori Epstein, Jones’ scrawls seemed to supplement his points about the Cowboys’ unwavering commitment, as he emphasized that the team is “all-in.” Epstein also noted the presence of several additional sheets filled with what appeared to be indecipherable scribbles devoid of any context.
The Cowboys have faced criticism for their lack of activity during this offseason. Jones’ enigmatic notes from the annual meeting only added fuel to the fire, inviting further ridicule from detractors on social media.
