Kylie Kelce truly considers herself lucky when it comes to her relationship with her brother-in-law, Travis Kelce.
Despite having heard numerous glowing reports about Travis from her husband Jason Kelce, it took Kylie some time before she had the opportunity to meet him in person. During an appearance on Sterling Holmes’ show, “Stacking the Box,” on June 14, Kylie, a 31-year-old mother of three, shared her experiences about finally meeting the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, who is 34.
“Jason and I had been together for a good while before I actually met Travis,” she revealed to Holmes. “We went through at least a whole football season before our schedules allowed us to meet.”
The long-awaited introduction took place far from the regular settings of either family or football—it happened in the tropical setting of Hawaii, during the Pro Bowl. Kylie described this encounter as her “full initiation into the Kelce family pool,” as it coincided with her first ever Kelce family vacation, a rare gathering of the entire clan.
“So we had the entire Kelce family together, which is rare, but I had received months and months and months of Jason talking up his brother,” Kylie recounted. Throughout this period, Jason frequently expressed his admiration for Travis, highlighting his outstanding character traits. “Jason always told me what an amazing person Travis is,” she said.
Jason’s descriptions painted a picture of Travis as not only a phenomenal athlete but also as a remarkably kind, generous, and loving individual. When Kylie finally met him, Travis completely lived up to the lofty expectations set by his brother. “He is hilarious, and is the best uncle and an outstanding brother-in-law,” Kylie enthusiastically shared, confirming that the personal and family bonds within the Kelce family are indeed as strong as the professional accolades both brothers have earned.

The Kelce brothers, both of whom have achieved Super Bowl victories and one of whom is involved with a globally recognized pop star, come from a tightly knit family. Earlier this year, their mother, Donna Kelce, spoke with PEOPLE about the family’s dynamic and their adjustment to fame.
“It’s been really surreal and a fun ride to be on,” Donna said in January. She spoke fondly of the unique experiences and new people she has encountered thanks to her sons’ success. “I’m very happy they get to enjoy the fruits of their labor because it’s [been] a tough ride to get where they are now.”
Donna also shared insights into the close relationship between Jason and Travis, which started from a young age, largely because they lacked a wider family network with whom to share their childhoods. “My brother didn’t have any children, and my husband’s sister didn’t have any,” she explained. “They used to yell at me because they didn’t have any cousins to play with on Christmas. We were tight-knit, always trying to help each other as much as we could.”
She proudly concluded, “They’re each other’s biggest fan,” underscoring the deep mutual admiration and support that has been a cornerstone of the brothers’ relationship.
