Jason Kelce’s wife, Kylie Kelce, was clearly displeased with Harrison Butker’s divisive commencement speech.
The Kansas City Chiefs kicker, Harrison Butker, sparked controversy with his comments during a commencement address where he criticized Pride Month and the transgender community, and made contentious remarks about women’s roles.
Butker stated, “I think it is you, the women, who have had the most diabolic lies told to you. Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world. I can tell you that my beautiful wife Isabelle would be the first to say her life truly started when she started living her vocation as a wife and as a mother.”
Reacting to these statements, Jason Kelce mentioned his wife’s initial frustration. “My wife she was a little frustrated with some of the comments initially,” he said.
In a light-hearted response to the situation, Jason Kelce added humor to the mix. “I said listen, ‘YOU’RE GONNA NEED TO GO BACK IN THE KITCHEN AND MAKE ME A SANDWICH,'” he joked.

Harrison Butker, on his part, remains steadfast in his stance despite the backlash.
Speaking at Regina Caeli Academy’s Courage Under Fire gala in Nashville, he addressed the reactions to his speech.
“Over the past few days my beliefs, or what people think I believe, have been the focus of countless discussions around the globe,” Butker stated. “At the outset, many people expressed a shocking level of hate. But as the days went on, even those who disagreed with my viewpoints shared their support for my freedom of religion.”
He concluded with a reaffirmation of his beliefs, “It’s a decision I’ve consciously made and one I do not regret at all.”
