Jason Kelce hilariously gatecrashed an NFL meeting, much to Commissioner Roger Goodell’s delight.
In a video posted by the New Heights X account, Kelce walked in unannounced while Goodell was holding a meeting, seemingly at the NFL headquarters in New York City.
Upon seeing the former Philadelphia Eagles center, Goodell quickly stood up to greet Kelce with a handshake and a hug. After exchanging pleasantries, Kelce playfully teased Goodell about the NFL schedule.
“What’s going on with the schedule? Are we almost there?” Kelce jokingly asked.
“You can’t say ‘we’ anymore,” Goodell replied with a smile, referencing Kelce’s recent retirement. After a playful grab and hit on Kelce’s shoulder, Goodell asked if Kelce was considering a return.
“Maybe, I mean, hey,” Kelce said, to which Goodell responded, “Oh, you’re coming back?”
“No, I wish,” Kelce replied.

Goodell then suggested the NFL’s first game in Brazil to entice Kelce back to the field. While Kelce kept the idea of unretiring off the table, he entertained the thought of making the trip.
“I want to, I really do,” he said. “I went for the [FIFA] World Cup in 2016 and absolutely loved it. So I would go back.”
On a recent episode of the New Heights podcast, Kelce raved about his experience in Brazil during the 2016 World Cup. He and his brother Travis also playfully debated over Lionel Messi playing for Argentina and his current stint with Inter Miami in Major League Soccer.
“I’m not saying it’s not good for MLS, I’m not saying it’s not great, I’m saying it’s not as good,” Jason said. “I’m not saying it sucks that he’s playing in Miami, it’s awesome for the MLS, it’s great for American soccer.
“I’m just saying it’s nowhere near when he scores a goal for Argentina and the entire country erupts and cheers because it means more to Argentina than any other sport on the planet.”
The NFL announced a game between the Eagles and the Green Bay Packers on September 6 at the Corinthians Stadium in Sao Paulo. Additionally, they announced the opening game featuring an AFC championship rematch between the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens on September 5.
The league also released two more Week 1 showdowns and two Week 2 matchups. The full schedule release will air on ESPN2 and the NFL Network on Wednesday, May 15, at 8pm ET.
