Jason Kelce admitted he’s fallen behind on his anniversary gift-giving during the latest episode of the “New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce” podcast, which aired on Wednesday, May 1.
Celebrating their sixth wedding anniversary last month, Jason confessed he has yet to find the perfect gift for his wife, Kylie, after being distracted by a live show in Cincinnati.
Discussing the topic with his brother Travis Kelce, Jason responded to a comment their mom, Donna, made on the Today show about men typically being poor gift-givers. “Don’t ask Kylie! I am a bad gift planner and giver,” Jason joked, adding, “I can’t be good at dancing and be good at gift giving—I can only have one of those.”
Realizing the urgency, Jason remarked, “I owe Kylie an anniversary gift. I’m almost a month post-due on that… I gotta come big with something.” He mentioned how traditional anniversary gifts often correspond to the number of years married, noting that this year’s gift should be iron, which led Travis to humorously suggest, “Make [Kylie] a sword.”

Although initially skeptical, Jason conceded, “Right now, a sword is definitely better than what I’ve currently gotten her,” and quipped about needing to expedite the gift, “Now I gotta get it to Kylie before this episode airs on Wednesday. So I kind of [need to] move fast on this sword.”
Jason and Kylie were married on April 14, 2018, and have three daughters: Wyatt Elizabeth, 4; Elliotte Ray, 3; and Bennett Llewellyn, 14 months. Jason also shared his plans to make up for the delayed anniversary gift with a special Mother’s Day present involving hydrangeas, chocolates, and a card.
Meanwhile, Kylie has demonstrated her knack for thoughtful gifts, having recently presented Jason with a custom wooden replica of Lincoln Financial Field, crafted by Georgia-based artist and woodworker, Dana Theobald. Jason praised the “amazing” detail of the work on the podcast, though he noted some minor damage from transit, “It’s very fixable, we just got to re-glue one of the stadium sides back … but yeah, we’ll figure it out.”
