Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce recently shared the story of how he met his now-wife, Kylie, on his latest podcast.
Jason, who is 35 years old, and Kylie, who is 31 and originally from Philadelphia, tied the knot in April 2018 after they began dating in 2015.
Their initial encounter, however, was a bit unexpected as they connected on the dating app Tinder. Kylie revealed on the latest episode of Jason’s podcast, New Heights, which he co-hosts with his brother Travis, that Jason’s Tinder profile showcased his sensitive side.
“At the time, his profile was something like, ‘I want to have deep, meaningful conversations and talk about getting married and having kids,'” she shared. She humorously added, “Jokes on him, who got the last laugh,” referring to their growing family.
Jason and Kylie are now proud parents of three daughters: Wyatt, 3, Elliotte, 2, and Bennett, who arrived shortly after the Super Bowl in February.

Despite their successful connection on Tinder, Kylie revealed that their relationship had a somewhat rocky start. On their first date, Jason dozed off at the bar table due to excessive drinking, leaving a memorable impression.
“He fell asleep 45 minutes after I got there at the bar table because he was too drunk, and then Bo Allen accomplished the most accomplished physical feat of his life when he fireman carried [Jason] back to his apartment,” Kylie recounted.
Jason admitted to this first-date blunder but emphasized that, for him, it was love at first sight.
“I definitely fell asleep, got a little too inebriated, but I was sober enough to know it was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen in my life. It was love at first sight,” he confessed. “I didn’t believe in love at first sight until I met you, and it was like fireworks exploded the moment she walked through the door. It was like ‘Twilight’ when the vampires go into the sunlight. The second date went much better; I didn’t blackout or fall asleep.”
Kylie, on the other hand, had a slightly different first impression of her future husband, remarking, “I saw him, and he was wearing plaid, and I thought, ‘You’re really leaning into the lumberjack thing.'”
Meanwhile, as they cherish their family and love story, Jason and the Philadelphia Eagles are gearing up for the start of the NFL season, with their opening game against the New England Patriots on Sunday, September 10, as they aim for another Super Bowl run.
