The nomination of Jason Kelce for the title of Sexiest Man Alive came as an unexpected surprise.
During the pregame show for Thursday night’s matchup between the Panthers and Bears, Jason Kelce, the Eagles’ center and the elder Kelce brother, was humorously introduced as the sexiest man in the NFL, following his mention in People’s “Sexiest Man Alive” issue alongside notable figures such as Pedro Pascal, Timothée Chalamet, Usher, Jamie Foxx, and Lenny Kravitz.
This unexpected acknowledgment has become a topic of conversation within the NFL community and was promptly discussed during the “Thursday Night Football” pregame on Prime Video.
“Listen, I don’t know how this all happened, but it’s honestly just another day,” Kelce, 36, said. “My wife tells me all the time I’m the sexiest man in the world, so I’ve been wondering what’s been taking so long for this nomination to happen.
“It’s been a whirlwind, it’s been fun. It’s a win for plus-size bearded men all over.”
Kelce has been establishing himself as a burgeoning personality in the NFL, particularly through his involvement in the “New Heights” podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother Travis Kelce, the Chiefs’ tight end.
His influence expanded further with the recent release of the documentary “Kelce” on Prime Video, which premiered this fall.
During a recent interview on the “Thursday Night Football” broadcast, Kelce playfully commented on losing the title of “Sexiest Man” to Patrick Dempsey, who was ultimately named by People.
In a jesting manner, Kelce mentioned that it served as a wakeup call for him. He humorously reflected, saying, “It’s more about self-reflection. What could I have done to be better? How could I have been sexier? I don’t know. I did the best I could. My wife Kylie reminds me every day that I’m the sexiest man alive, so as long as I’m still No. 1 in her eyes, I’m good.” Feel free to share your thoughts by posting a comment.
