Another week brings another playful fashion moment for the Kelce brothers, this time with Jason Kelce hilariously teasing his younger brother, Travis Kelce, over his bold outfit choice during a high-profile double date with Taylor Swift, Blake Lively, and Ryan Reynolds.
During their Friday night out in New York City, Travis, 35, sported a navy Jacquemus bowling shirt, priced at $490, adorned with abstract illustrations. The shirt featured four pairs of human figures in various ambiguous poses.
One illustration, in particular, caught the attention of fans and, of course, his older brother Jason. The image showed a woman seemingly playfully positioned behind a man, while his legs were underneath her, leading to some raised eyebrows. Adding to the intrigue, a beige horse reared up on the opposite side of the shirt.
Travis’s shirt became a hot topic among fans and his brother alike, with Jason wasting no time addressing it on their latest New Heights podcast episode.
“What in the world was the shirt though?” Jason, 36, asked, kicking off the roast.
Travis, somewhat surprised by the reaction, admitted that he didn’t give much thought to the shirt’s details when he picked it out. “I had no idea what was going on with the shirt. I thought it was just art—people and horses,” he explained. “I didn’t really look at it like that when I got it. I just liked the color and the patterns.”
Jason, however, was quick to take the joke further. “It kind of appears like it’s a horse c—k,” he said, much to Travis’s amusement.
“That’d be crazy if I was wearing a horse c—k,” Travis laughed. “That’s why you always gotta make sure you know what you’re wearing, kids, or everybody can just assume now.”
As the conversation continued, Jason read aloud an excerpt from a British GQ article describing the shirt as “flowy, fun, and more vibrant Marseilles than minimalist Paris.” With his signature dry humor, Jason quipped, “That’s a fancy way of saying it’s a button-down with horses and people f—king on it.”
Travis, seemingly taken aback by his brother’s interpretation, asked in disbelief, “People f—king? That’s what you got out of that?”
Jason doubled down, pointing to one particular image of a woman “straddling” a man who was “underneath her” and noting her lack of a shirt.
“Well, what are her tits out for if they’re not having sex, Travis?” Jason asked.
“She could just be wearing a very tight shirt that shows her tits,” Travis responded, trying to hold back his laughter.
The playful banter didn’t stop there, as Jason jokingly pointed out that one of the figures looked like she had a “BBL” (Brazilian butt lift) because of how the backside was depicted.
“You’re ridiculous. The fact that that got you fired up is ridiculous,” Travis said, sharing a laugh with his brother.
As the brothers laughed it off, the shirt continued to be a humorous focal point.
Travis wore the controversial shirt during a double date with Swift, Lively, and Reynolds at The Corner Store in SoHo. While Travis’s shirt stirred conversation, Swift opted for a more traditionally stylish look, donning a netted Gucci corset ($1,700), a Dior saddle bag, black Louis Vuitton platform ankle boots, and a pleated faux leather RTA miniskirt ($195).
The date night was just part of the couple’s whirlwind weekend in New York City. The next evening, they were spotted enjoying dinner at the Italian restaurant Torrisi.
The pair capped off their time together by attending a Yankees vs. Cleveland Guardians playoff game on Monday, where they were seen in a VIP box, sharing some PDA.
Despite making the most of their time during Travis’s bye week and Taylor’s break from her Eras tour, the couple has now parted ways as they resume their busy professional schedules. Swift is gearing up for the international leg of her tour, while Travis returns to the field with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Though Travis’s fashion choice sparked some good-natured ribbing from Jason, it’s clear the Kelce brothers know how to keep things lighthearted, even in the midst of their rapidly growing fame.
