Al Michaels has been a target of criticism throughout the entire season, and the Prime Video broadcast crew anticipated a lackluster Thursday night game between the Carolina Panthers and Chicago Bears.
In a surprising move, they introduced a third person into the booth, with Philadelphia Eagles star offensive lineman Jason Kelce joining Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit for the first time this season. Kelce occupied the space between the two during a significant portion of the first half, sparking mixed reactions from fans.

Ari Meirov humorously remarked, “Amazon has Jason Kelce in the booth right now for Panthers-Bears, as if this is a preseason game, and frankly, this picture is the happiest Al Michaels has been all season.”
Another observer joked, “Panthers/Bears is such terrible TV, Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit are treating this like the Hall of Fame game and interviewing Eagles center Jason Kelce DURING the game on Amazon.”
A third comment added, “Amazon felt like the Panthers and Bears were so boring, they needed to interview Jason Kelce instead of commentate the game.”
The atmosphere resembled that of a preseason game, with minimal excitement on the field. However, Al Michaels seemed to light up like a Christmas tree while engaging in conversation with Jason Kelce.
The Kelce NFL takeover continues to make its mark.
