Jason Kelce once again ignored his wife Kylie’s well-meaning advice during his second appearance as an ESPN analyst on Monday Night Countdown. The retired NFL star, known for his larger-than-life personality, couldn’t resist diving back into an X-rated topic that had already stirred up plenty of laughs during his debut the previous week.
In his first-ever appearance on the show, Kelce hilariously confessed that his “t**s” didn’t quite fit into his shirt, marking a memorable and slightly inappropriate start to his broadcasting career. Before his second on-air stint, Kylie, the mother of their three daughters, offered him some sage advice: avoid talking about his chest this time around.
But, much to Kylie’s likely dismay, Jason completely disregarded that request. As soon as the conversation kicked off, the topic once again centered on his chest. Veteran host Scott Van Pelt playfully reignited the banter by asking for a “t**s check.”
“The t**s are feeling much better,” Kelce responded, much to the amusement of his colleagues, including fellow analyst Ryan Clark, who eagerly jumped in on the joke. The conversation continued to feature the word so much that ESPN even attempted to bleep it out toward the end, though they didn’t quite manage to catch every mention, according to NFL analyst Warren Sharp.

Despite his wife’s warning, it was clear that Kelce was enjoying his return to Lincoln Financial Field, where he spent his entire 13-year NFL career with the Philadelphia Eagles. Before taking his seat on the ESPN panel, Kelce was seen chugging beers and dancing on stage at an Eagles tailgate party, fully embracing the homecoming energy.
Kylie, while supportive of her husband’s new chapter, had gently reminded him to tone down the chest talk. “Training camp looked a little different this year. Watching you at the Linc on Monday is going to be a little different too,” she shared in a social media post. “Just know that the girls and I are loving cheering you on in this new chapter! … Maybe try not to say t**s this week?”
Though Kylie hoped her words would resonate, it appears the excitement of being back in front of the cameras—and the raucous atmosphere in Philadelphia—caused Kelce to overlook her advice.
Kelce’s family, however, seemed to find his X-rated humor thoroughly entertaining. On the Kelce brothers’ New Heights podcast, Jason’s younger brother Travis Kelce shared how both he and his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, had a good laugh over Jason’s ESPN debut.
“You went up to the Bay Area for your first Monday Night Countdown appearance and forgot to pack a shirt for Jason,” Travis said, recounting the incident. “Luckily enough, there was a Lululemon around, and he got to explain himself within the first 30 seconds of his ESPN debut.”
Jason, trying to recall the moment, said, “What did I say? I said something about t**s.”
Fortunately for Jason, Travis had the “great quote” ready, reminding him of the hilarious line that left him and Swift “dying laughing.” Kelce had told host Scott Van Pelt, “It fits my belly now. I’ve lost a little bit of weight, but my t**s are still struggling,” referring to his ill-fitting shirt.
Travis gave his brother full approval for the comedic moment, saying it was the perfect way to introduce Jason’s larger-than-life personality to ESPN viewers. “It was the perfect thing to open everybody up to what they were going to experience for the next 18 weeks,” Travis joked on the podcast.
While Jason Kelce’s second appearance on Monday Night Countdown may not have been entirely what his wife Kylie had in mind, it’s clear that his unfiltered, humorous style has endeared him to fans—and his family—alike.
Whether or not he will finally heed Kylie’s advice in future episodes remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: Jason Kelce knows how to keep viewers entertained.
