The Kelce brothers, Travis and Jason, finally celebrated their graduation from the University of Cincinnati this past weekend, marking the occasion with a unique event at the University’s Fifth Third Arena for their “New Heights” podcast.
Although they had completed their degrees years earlier, this was their chance to formally receive their diplomas.
During the celebration, Travis Kelce made a memorable entrance by shaking hands with UC President Dr. Neville Pinto, then proceeded to chug a beer and emphatically slam the can on stage as the Beastie Boys’ “Fight For Your Right” blasted in the background. This act, however, drew mixed reactions, with several people on social media criticizing him for what they viewed as inappropriate behavior.
In defense of his brother, Jason Kelce responded to the critics. After a social media user suggested that Travis’s actions were not suitable for a college event, especially given his past on the team, Jason clarified the context of the event. He explained that the ceremony was part of their podcast event aimed at raising funds for the university’s NIL program, and not an official graduation. He noted, “I know it looks like a graduation from the video, but this was actually at the end of a New Heights Live podcast that we put on to raise money for the University’s NIL. The university did this to poke fun at my brother and I for never really picking up our diplomas.”

As Jason Kelce retires from his illustrious career with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he won Super Bowl LII and earned multiple Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors, Travis continues his own successful NFL journey.
This season, he aims for his third consecutive Super Bowl, keeping the Kelce legacy vibrant in the league.
