Sunday turned out to be a challenging day for Jason Garrett. The former Cowboys head coach is facing criticism from fans after making a questionable comment about Maria Taylor during the broadcast of ‘Sunday Night Football’ on NBC.
Filling in for Cris Collinsworth that night, who chose to spend the remainder of his Thanksgiving weekend with family, Garrett’s presence alongside Mike Tirico didn’t sit well with fans. To make matters worse, he managed to exacerbate the situation.

As Taylor handed the show back to Garrett and Tirico at halftime, Garrett was overheard asking his broadcast partner, “Maria looks great, doesn’t she?” Tirico appeared to distance himself from the comment, pretending not to hear.
A clip of the incident quickly went viral, drawing numerous critical comments. Interestingly, Tirico, with a history of a three-month suspension for sexual harassment during his tenure at ESPN, opted to steer clear of this particular comment.
In the age of social media, where every move is scrutinized, there’s little room to overlook a comment perceived as inappropriate.
