Reports suggest that a woman who accused Vince McMahon of sexual abuse purportedly penned a love letter to the former WWE CEO, but she claims she was coerced into doing so.
Janel Grant, a former WWE employee, levied accusations of sex trafficking and multiple instances of sexual misconduct against McMahon on January 25.
McMahon, 78, resigned as executive chairman of WWE’s parent company, TKO Group Holdings, the following day.
According to The New York Post, an email allegedly sent to McMahon by Grant on December 24, 2021, professes her affection for the wrestling boss, labeling him as her “best friend, my love, and my everything.”
“After almost three years together, it’s like my life isn’t even real to me unless you’re there and in it and I’m sharing it all with you,” Grant, 43, allegedly wrote.
The contents of the letter stand in stark contrast to the allegations made by Grant as part of a lawsuit filed in Connecticut.

In this lawsuit, Grant claimed that McMahon had engaged in disturbing behavior, including an incident where he allegedly defecated on her head during a threesome in 2020.
This incident reportedly occurred approximately 18 months prior to the date of the letter.
Grant’s lawyer, Ann Callis, claims McMahon told Grant to write the email.
“Frankly it’s pretty disgusting that Vince’s weeks-late attempt to defend his horrendous behaviour – behaviour he claims to this day never happened – is to try to showcase letters that Vince himself coerced her to write,’ Callis told The Post.”
McMahon’s lawyer, Jessica Taub Rosenberg denied the coercion allegations.
“Janel isn’t unfamiliar with McMahon’s tactics of intimidation, but this alleged coercion marks a new extreme,” McMahon’s lawyer, Jessica Taub Rosenberg, stated, dismissing the coercion allegations.
“This is revisionist history,” Rosenberg, from the law firm Kasowitz Benson Torres, told The Post.
“No one coerced Ms. Grant to write that letter. She wrote it of her own volition. The fact that the letter shows it was the 24th draft speaks volumes.”
Rosenberg added, “Nowhere in her extensive complaint does she mention being coerced into such behavior.”
“The language of the letter is consistent with other communications she made to Mr. McMahon over the course of their consensual relationship.”
Grant, who was employed at WWE’s headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut from June 2019 to March 2022, made allegations that McMahon trafficked her to other executives and wrestlers within the company.
She further claimed to have suffered physical injuries from the forceful use of sex toys. McMahon has strongly refuted Grant’s accusations, asserting that their relationship was consensual.
He is currently under federal investigation by New York prosecutors.
“Grant’s claims are false, defamatory, and entirely without merit,” stated Taub Rosenberg. “We intend to vigorously defend Mr. McMahon and are confident he will be vindicated.”
