The James Harden saga appears to be an unending drama.
The turbulent journey of James Harden has taken another abrupt twist.
As per Shams Charania of The Athletic, James Harden had prepared to accompany the 76ers on their upcoming road trip to Milwaukee. However, the 76ers have requested that he remain in Philadelphia.

Charania shared the development on social media, stating, “James Harden returned to Philadelphia on Tuesday night with his bags packed to join the team on the road for Thursday vs. Bucks and Saturday vs. Raptors, but the 76ers have now asked him not to travel with the team, sources said.”
This update from Charania emerged approximately an hour after it was reported that Harden had returned to the 76ers’ facility to participate in Wednesday’s practice.
The 76ers’ decision to have Harden stay behind is understandable. Earlier this month, the former MVP asserted that there was no possibility of repairing his relationship with the team’s front office.
Harden stated, “No. This is not just about this situation – it’s a life principle. When you lose trust in someone, it’s like a marriage … you lose trust in someone, you know what I mean? It’s pretty simple.”
Harden has not participated in 76ers’ practices since October 15. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the plan is to have him work with the team’s development staff to prepare him for live action and eventually get him back into game shape.
Harden has demonstrated that he won’t compromise until his demands are met.
