Mardi Gras is in full swing in New Orleans, with Fat Tuesday falling on February 13th this year. The festivities have been ongoing since January, with parades marching through the streets every weekend.
The kickoff of Mardi Gras week in The Big Easy was marked on Monday, and among the revelers was New Orleans Saints backup QB and former Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston, who was spotted enjoying the Lundi Gras celebration by local WDSU News.
Winston’s infectious joy was evident as he grinned from ear to ear, seemingly on top of the world.
During an interview with Margaret Orr, Winston’s response to whether he loves to dance was simple: “I love to have fun.” The full interview, available on YouTube, captures Winston’s enthusiasm for Mardi Gras, his parenting philosophy of valuing effort over results when judging his son, and, of course, his unabashed love for having a good time.

Winston has been making the rounds lately, appearing on various platforms. He sat down for interviews with the Pardon My Take duo at Barstool Sports and engaged in a Sundae Conversation with Caleb Pressley. The latter segment, a classic “Jameis being Jameis” moment, included role-playing and his thoughts on topics like Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, as well as his preferences for his teammates’ dating choices.
Jameis is one entertaining guy.
