Jalen Brunson, star player for the New York Knicks, recently got married to his longtime girlfriend, Ali Marks, in a grand ceremony at the Ritz-Carlton in Chicago.
The couple aimed for a festive and joyful atmosphere, complete with lights, lasers, a DJ, and delicious food and drinks.
They kicked off their reception with a cocktail hour featuring various delectable treats such as mini lobster rolls, baby lamb chops, spring rolls, and hand-rolled sushi, which happened to be Brunson’s favorite.
Rather than hosting a traditional wedding celebration, the couple wanted their event to feel like a night out at one of their favorite spots.
They also prioritized ensuring that their guests didn’t have to wait in line for drinks by having multiple bars and bartenders.
They served signature drinks for the bride and groom – pineapple Casamigos for the bride and ginger ale Casamigos for the groom, along with spicy margaritas and Tito’s strawberry lemonade cocktails.
The couple invited their nearest and dearest to partake in their special day. Brunson’s college friend and former Villanova Wildcats and Knicks teammate, Ryan Arcidiacono, officiated the ceremony.

The guest list included fellow Knicks players, such as Julius Randle, Derrick Rose, RJ Barrett, Josh Hart, and Donte DiVincenzo according to People.com.
Family and friends also had their roles, with Aunt Karen and family friend Lawanda performing readings, and even the couple’s dog, Kona, serving as the flower girl.
Although they started dating during their high school days, Brunson attending Villanova and Marks going to the University of Illinois, they chose to propose at their high school’s basketball court in September.
As a surprise for her friends and new husband, Marks changed into her prom dress from 2015 for a late-night look, calling it an iconic choice. However, she opted for a custom off-white Eva Lendel dress for the ceremony itself.
The couple requested that all guests adhere to an all-black dress code, which helped create a romantic and dramatic ambiance in combination with candlelight and white and deep-hued flowers.
They hired Kehoe Designs to bring their vision to life. Dancing was a top priority for the bride, and Aragon Artists kept the music going all night, as the couple ensured their guests could refuel with Dunkin Donuts coffee and pastries during the late hours.
Brunson expresses how grateful he is to have Ali by his side and is excited to celebrate this milestone with their closest friends and family, who have been supportive throughout their relationship.
He is joyful about finally being able to call Ali his wife.
Congrats to Brunson.
