Win or lose, Jake Paul is set to cash in big from his highly anticipated fight with boxing legend Mike Tyson. Speaking at Fanatics Fest on Sunday, just weeks before the November 15 showdown in Arlington, Texas, Paul revealed that he’s set to earn a staggering eight-figure sum from the event.
“I’m here to make $40 million and knock out a legend,” Paul boldly declared at the press conference, emphasizing the lucrative nature of the match. Despite the buzz surrounding the fight, Netflix, which is reportedly involved in the event, did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
During the press conference, Paul didn’t shy away from taking a jab at New York, Tyson’s hometown and the location of the event. “New York, you’re just like Mike Tyson, you were good 20 years ago,” the YouTuber-turned-boxer quipped, adding fuel to the promotional fire.
The upcoming fight has garnered significant attention, not just for the financial stakes but also due to the stark age difference between the two competitors. At 58 years old, Tyson is 31 years older than Paul, raising concerns about the safety of the bout.
Tyson, who last fought in 2020 under special rules designed to protect older boxers, has faced health challenges in recent years, including a flare-up of ulcers in May that led to the postponement of the fight from its original July 20 date. Additionally, Tyson has been dealing with sciatica, a condition that has occasionally required him to use a wheelchair.

Paul, on the other hand, is 27 years old and has built an impressive 10–1 boxing record, with seven of his victories coming by knockout. The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), which is overseeing the fight, has taken precautions to address the fighters’ age and physical conditions.
The bout is scheduled for eight two-minute rounds, with both fighters wearing 14-ounce gloves—heavier than usual, which could offer more protection.
The TDLR also confirmed that it reviewed the medical records of both fighters to ensure they are fit to compete.
As the fight date approaches, excitement and concern continue to build around what is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about boxing matches in recent memory. Tyson’s legacy and Paul’s rising star, combined with the financial stakes, make this a bout that fans won’t want to miss.
