Is Jaire Alexander set to depart from Green Bay?
In 2022, the All-Pro cornerback and the franchise reached an agreement that bound him to the team until the conclusion of the 2026 season. Despite being under contract with the Packers, there exists an option for the team to part ways at the end of this season, resulting in a savings of $39 million over the next three years.
Adding fuel to the speculation, Alexander shared a series of pictures on Instagram with a caption that hinted at the possibility of his tenure with the team coming to a close.

Alexander made headlines in December when he was suspended for one game by the team. This followed an incident where he designated himself as a captain and nearly jeopardized Green Bay’s opportunity to receive the ball at the beginning of each half with an unconventional coin toss request before a game against the Panthers.
The Packers clarified Alexander’s suspension, citing “conduct detrimental to the team.” The cornerback’s coin flip decision, where he correctly called for the defense to be on the field, was deemed a “big mistake” by coach LaFleur. Despite Alexander downplaying the incident, he faced suspension.
Limited by injuries, Alexander participated in only seven regular-season games, accumulating 27 total tackles and forcing one fumble.
