On Monday, there were reports indicating that Zay Jones, the wide receiver for the Jacksonville Jaguars, had been arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery, as stated by John Shipley of Fan Nation.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reportedly arrested Jones, 28, around 6:00 p.m. local time on a charge of domestic battery causing bodily harm. He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday morning.

In response to the situation, a Jaguars spokesperson issued a statement on Monday evening, saying, “We are aware of the situation and are in the midst of gathering information. We will have no further comment at this time.”
Jones has participated in three games for Jacksonville this season, recording eight receptions and two touchdowns. Currently in his second season with the franchise, he signed a three-year, $24 million deal with the team in 2022. Notably, he achieved a career-high 82 receptions and 823 yards last season.
The seasoned veteran last played for the Jaguars in Week 5 but has been inactive in the past four games due to a knee injury.
