You can’t keep a good attention seeker down for too long.
Jackson Mahomes, the brother of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, returned to social media after a break by sharing his latest TikTok video.
The well-known TikTok influencer had recently faced criticism due to a sexual battery accusation filed against him by a Kansas City restaurant.
He was arrested but later released on bail. Following this incident, Mahomes had chosen to stay out of the public eye and refrained from posting on social media. However, he recently made a comeback by uploading a TikTok video in which he lip-synced to a popular song by Doja Cat, entertaining his fans.
Despite this being his first post after his arrest, sources from The Kansas City Star reported that Jackson was seen distributing “Happy Kits” to children at the Children’s Mercy Hospital.
These kits included art supplies, books, and other enjoyable items. Additionally, the restaurant in Kansas City, where Mahomes was allegedly involved in the sexual battery incident, has apparently gone out of business.
The owner cited a significant drop in customers and concerns for personal safety as reasons for shutting down.
Feeling attacked by people he had never met, the owner expressed understanding for why victims might hesitate to come forward, saying, “This is how they get treated.” The ongoing investigation into the Jackson Mahomes case is still underway, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for the end of August.
The closure of the restaurant adds further complexity to the already contentious situation surrounding the incident.
