The restaurant owned by the woman who accused Jackson Mahomes of sexual misconduct has been forced to close due to the negative publicity, resulting in significant financial losses.
Jackson Mahomes, the brother of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, is facing legal trouble after being accused of assaulting a waiter and kissing the restaurant owner without her consent.
He is now facing charges of aggravated sexual battery and misdemeanor battery and will have his day in court, tarnishing the reputation of the Mahomes family.
The woman, Aspen Vaughn, who filed the complaint, has expressed regret and wishes for things to return to normal.
“What happened that evening wasn’t OK,” Vaughn told FOX4’s Malik Jackson. “We have our lives to live and to go on. But I feel like a lot of people just came after us.” Apart from that, “We’ve had gas pipes, AC pipes cut from the outside, you name it, it’s pretty much happened.”
Additionally, she revealed that her employees have faced relentless attacks, and there has been physical damage to the establishment, including to gas pipes and AC lines.
As a result, she has been forced to close the restaurant until further notice. Meanwhile, Jackson is scheduled to appear in court for a hearing on August 31, and his attorneys continue to assert his innocence.
